What we record during an interview.
Vibe Test is Bluejay's interview pad. Your session is recorded so the people who interviewed you can review it. Here is the full list of what we keep and why.
| What | Where | Why |
|---|---|---|
| The name your interviewer expected | Stored with the pad, plus an email if they typed one | So the form is prefilled and the team can find your interview later |
| The name you type on the join page | Stored with your session | Shown on your cursor, in chat, and on the report |
| Which link you used | The invite and how many times it was opened | Link accounting, and grouping a second device with the first |
| When you joined, were last seen, and left | Timestamps on your session | The interview timeline and the waiting indicator your interviewer sees |
| Your browser | The browser's user agent and a hashed IP address with a daily salt | Debugging reconnects only. Never shown to the interviewer, not a fingerprint |
| Everything in the pad | Every keystroke, run, paste from outside the editor, tab focus change, drawing, and chat message | History, playback, and the report the team reviews |
| Voice, if you turn it on | A recording in our storage and a transcript in chat | Review of the conversation, kept like the rest |
Not recorded

How long
Interview records are kept until a Bluejay owner deletes the pad on purpose. There is no automatic deletion. Questions about your data go to the person who sent you the link.
